The headline is all I wanted to write. However, being a writer makes your heart and mind race a bit faster…Yes, almost like a car trying to win Nascar championship. You know the impatience of a challenger, right?
With a quick intake of breath like someone about to plunge into icy water, I gotta say this; Wema and her boo’s mom looks great together. I am hesitating to call her mother-in-law because I was born in in 70s and therefore big part of me still believe in proper procedures. That’s me though. Now if you can lit a cigarette, inhale deeply and hope that bluff would fly away.
Wema isn’t afraid anymore of what people would think or say. If she had once sensed love at a far distance and never dared to approach it, that fear is gone. With nothing but love, let’s wish them all the best. If you have a beep that could save life…keep it to yourself. Wait. Be patient.
It was Mama Naseeb’s [she doesn't call him Diamond] birthday. While her son was dropping two videos in her honor, Diamond’s boo made sure Mom feels extra happy. And that’s what is turning this volume up while turning on the softness.

With almost all eyes and ears to Brazil for the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup, it’s easy [especially for men] to forget or ignore what is more important than anything else on earth; FAMILY. It can end up to be as disastrous for you like an over crowded movie theater when the games are over[July 13] and you no longer have someone to share your “soccer” views with.
Good thing is, there are activities that can involve the whole family. Dad can squeeze himself where the TV screens are while Mom can easily relax in a friendly bar or simmering her legs into the pool while Kids can do whatever they want [except not playing with a kerosene lantern] or show you the latest moves of selfies if not Kitorondo.
Here is the event you don’t wanna miss. FAMILY POOL PARTY AT ESCAPE this coming Sunday 22nd June,2014. DJ Choka will be there!

As you probably know by now, over the weekend Legendary Comedian and actor, Mzee Small passed away. Earlier today he was laid to rest at Segerea Cemetery yard in the outskirts of Dar-es-salaam. Hundreds of people including his fellow actors, fans, friends and relatives attended the funeral. Here are few images. For more images CLICK HERE.
If one can not lead a family, he shouldn’t be given a position to lead anyone else. Of course that is an old wisdom[if we accept that even if Jesus lived today he'd change some things]. Regardless of how true or untrue that kind of wisdom is, if you dig deeper you will find more clues and answers. There is some truth in it. Charity starts at home, right? Now you know what I am trying to say.
This weekend was time for Joshua Nassari(29), MP for Arumeru East[CHADEMA] to say goodbye to bachelorhood. I am not sure if at a tender age such as his, he could qualify to be a “general” [nickname for someone who has done and seen it all].It was love…may be.It was pressure from family and fellow legislatures. We wouldn’t know.
And for him, being almost like a talking book, everyone was invited. Everyone was going to get a slice of pie. It wasn’t a political campaign though. But when a popular politician gets married and when “everyone” is invited, you might as well mistake the event for a political campaign. According to someone who attended,Yes everyone was invited and everyone ate to their satisfaction. A historical event. Do you think they will remember the rice and sodas next year? You bet. I could almost see him saying, “it is my territory, back off”.
The difference, however, is that beside him there was someone who got attention of his heart and soul. Her name is Anande Nko. The marriage ceremony[where the I do and I don't were said] took place at the Pentecost Church in Kilinga. The big party was held at the grounds of USA-River Academy close to Ngurdoto Lodge where from time to time leaders have met for vacations that were called workshops and seminars.
We wish Mr and Mrs Joshua Nassari all the best as they start their journey. A long journey.
You love chicken wings, right? [Who doesn't?]. And you are in Dar-es-salaam or going to be in Dar-es-salaam on 31st May 2014 [It's gonna be SATURDAY]. Then, the only place you need to be at the Azura Health & Fitness grounds. It’s Chicken Wings Bonanza. Satisfaction Guaranteed. We’ll see you there.
Luckily for us, our very own DIAMOND is among the nominees of the 2014 MTV AFRICAN MUSIC AWARDS (MAMA) which are taking place in South Africa for the first time at the ICC, Durban on 7th June 2014.
We got a foretaste of the artists who will be performing at the awards when SAUTI SOL, MI CASA and DIAMOND took to the stage at Club Bilicanas last night-16th May 2014 to wow the crowd.
Prior to their spectacular performances, all media personel had an opportunity to interview them during a press conference. Mr. Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Viacom International Media Networks Africa spoke of the awards and thereafter we got to hear a few words from Sauti Sol, Diamond, DJ Tira and Mi casa.
Fans are encouraged to vote for their favourite artists. Voting for the MTV Africa Music Awards is open at www.mtvbase.com from 16th April 20014 until midnight on 4th June 2014. VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
He took home record breaking 7 awards at the Kilimanjaro Tanzania Music Awards over the weekend. He had a different sense of fashion statement [Kanye...anywhere?]. Then there was the tall standing lady we call Wema. She was once a beauty queen with national title of Miss Tanzania. She wore, according to fashion blogs, something from Eve Collections. Long story short, they looked great and as the night grew darker, it was Diamond and Wema who dominated. I forgot to count how many times they were to the Social Media Lounge to chat with Millard Ayo,Sam Missago,Jokate Mwegelo and Salma Msangi. They were all over the place.
While awards were celebrated, it was their renewed love that also made headlines. She only prefer to call him “Baby” and Naseeb. On the other hand, he calls her Wema. In private he mentions “Baby” too. Him and I talk sometimes…business. He is a shy one and rarely talks about their love in public. He let her be in charge. After all she is older than him and arguably more experienced with handling the media and public.
Whether you like it or not [And I know what that means] Diamond Platinumz and Wema Sepetu are our couple of the hour. They bring some sort of excitement to showbizz. There is no showbizz without these kind of couples. It would like politics without politicians. If you don’t like what they have [on and off's and at times pretension], it is what it is. Grab your coffee and watch it from the safer distance. It’s love. Nurture it and you get a lot more.Neglect it utavuna mabua.
During the over the weekend Kilimanjaro Tanzania Music Awards, #KTMA2014 was trending in Tanzania. The awards are now said to be one of the biggest in Africa. I have heard about being on top 5! That,if it’s all true, is an achievement deserving an accolade.
As winners took their plaques, Twitter was having a pulse of its own. KTMA2014 were followed and watched by thousands of Tanzanians and well wishers online. It was a global affair of some sort. Can we rejoice please?
Things got heated up when Ray C showed up. Twitter[ where I was following comments and updates] erupted. You can imagine. She has not been seen in public too often since beating the odds and set herself free from drug addiction. Her best refuge has been social media such as Instagram where she interacts with fans etc.
As she is now attempting one of the major “comebacks” in the history of our new generation music, she stepped to the plate and Kili Music Awards was the place and stage. How did it go? Well…hashtag #KTMA2014 could give you clue. Now don’t be uptight.
But when all is said and done, we gotta give Ray C credits for the odd she is beating and how she is turning her personal tragedy into something even more positive. It is exciting and decisive. She now wants to save thousands if not millions through Ray C Foundation. She is about to return to stage with her own new tune…I am sure you are waiting and saying “it better good”. At BC, we wish her all the best. Who was she wearing by the way…anyone?
